Amore Hospice Care
Customer reviews
I work professionally with Kristen Holmes, one of the senior liaisons with Amore Hospice care. She’s professional, an outstanding communicator and all around wonderful individual. I highly recommend when you find yourself with a loved one who needs hospice care that you seek her out. She will take incredibly good care of you coordinating you and your family to her outstanding clinical team.
I am so grateful for Amore Hospice! They have been supporting a family member and have been so quick to respond when help was needed, so calming when calm was needed and so supportive at making my family member feel heard and appropriately cared for! I can't even tell you how much better I sleep now that we have their support. Surprising how much it helps the family to know your family member is safe and appropriately supported. Thank you all!
I would like to share my appreciation for the compassionate, professional care Amore provided for my sister over her last few difficult months. The doctor and nurses who cared for her were dedicated to her well being and helped eliminate the anxiety for our entire family. Thank you and may God bless you all.
As a healthcare professional, I have referred my clients to Amore Hospice and have been impressed with how their agency operates. Amore Hospice, though a newer agency, has thoughtfully integrated feedback from patients and families into their practices, offering services that stand out from others in the field. One of the key differences is their home-based palliative care, which is especially valuable for clients who are unable to visit a clinic. Additionally, their hospice physician makes home visits, a unique and beneficial service compared to other agencies I’ve worked with. I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with Monica, their Physician Liaison. As a social worker, she is an excellent listener, thoroughly explains both the hospice and palliative care programs, and ensures every detail is covered. I will continue to recommend Amore Hospice to my clients, knowing they will receive exceptional care.
My mom started hospice close to the end of April and I'm so glad I found a hospice agency who have an incredible staff. Everyone has been so friendly and professional. The communication had been wonderful and it's something that is very important to me. I have to be my mom' s voice. I will continue to be her advocate until the end. Amore Hospice came at the right time for my dear mom. Thank you for your kindness and showing me that you truly care about your patients. ***UPDATE*** I didn't think I would leave another review, but this time feeling somewhat disappointed. I give the 3 stars to 3 people: Kristi, CNA Liz and Rabbi Michael. I don't know what happened with the SRC group home, but I found out by someone that the lead talked bad about me with EVERYONE, even with the Ombudsman social worker. SMH There was someone I spoke to a few times and I felt she was indifferent towards me. First time we spoke she was so sweet. But that quickly changed. I don't understand why would anyone decide to side with this lead and not care what she was doing and what was going on inside that group home. I found out after the 30 day notice to get my mom out, that 2 caregivers held my mom down, while the other one forced the medicine to my mom. This outrages me because I decided to choose Amore Hopsice for a reason. I never thought I would have switched. But if this hospice wants to believe the lies of people who was actually doing evil things, being abusive, I can't trust a team like that. No one cared about CNA Liz, who reported to their administrator Kim about one day my mom's shared room a complete disaster, how she described as like a tornado hit the room Or how about when she was looking for my mom everywhere inside and outside the group home. None of the caregivers seemed concerned one bit. That left me feeling disturbed. I never had to go searching for my mom. My mom never would tell me she was scared. This happened when she got moved to the new room. I knew it was a dumb idea. The group home did it with bad intentions, because the roommate was combative. I told CNA and nurse my mom was sleeping in the caregiver room. I guess it's ok with my mom sleeping in the caregiver room for 3 weeks. Healthcare professionals can report to the Ombussman program. Why didn't anyone want to help my mom? She wasn't safe and Amore Hospice decided to stay quiet. SMH The last straw were the notes from nurse's visit on 6/5/24. Apparently, the lead gave my mom Haloperidol. This was NOT on my mom's meds list and it's a medication I want her to stay away from. Haloperidol makes dementia patients with hallucinations way worse. Previous hospice did that, but it was prescribed. That is why I revoked their services. So for the lead to give it and to mention it to the nurse, I was livid. To me this isn't a typo. Also, they thought it was ok the lead to tell them to not have anyone update me on anything??? That alone is a red flag. But it's sad that some team members thought that the lead was being professional and I was the bad guy. I guess it's wrong of me to have concerns when someone isn't treating my mom with respect and dignity and get annoyed because I'm speaking up on behalf of my mom. Wow, I thought that was a civil thing to do, you know like it was your LO, wouldn't you do the same for them? The worst part is my mom's previous group home has cameras and I'm 100% sure they do record everything. I'm so glad my mom is not in SRC anymore. Things went missing, my mom was abused and neglected. I love and care about my mom. Don't let this happen again with other families. Don't side with caregivers. Even the manager where my mom is at says she would never do that. Family will speak up for a good damn reason.
