Atticus law firm has been very supportive and important part of my journey navigating my divorce. They have helped me to figure out what I needed and what my goals are. I felt like they had my back and they understood where I was coming from with my story. It was important to not feel like a number. I felt like I was important and they cared about what I needed. Atticus law firm has a great staff one of the people I talked to from time to time throughout my process was Tara Eisenhard, who is a client coach she help me with sort out some of the different issues and struggling I have had throughout my divorce which was extremely helpful. I am extremely happy with the Services I received from the team at Atticus law firm and from Matt. I am grateful! Best regards, Nadia

A divorce may very well find you not knowing what to do. It did me. Deciding to divorce after nearly thirty years didn’t come easily, I was left feeling like a lost sailor. Atticus listened to my concerns and went to work on them. There were times that simply knowing they were on my side let me go to sleep a little easier. I called Atticus after giving up on negotiating face to face with my wife. They returned my initial call within 24 hours and started collecting information. Their communication with me was informative and consistent. Atticus helped me greatly; I would recommend them in an instant to anyone going through a divorce.

This account belongs to my partner, Dana, but this review is being written by Kwasi based on my direct experience. If I could give zero stars to this firm, especially Tori Gale specifically, I would. I worked with Tori Gale, and unfortunately, my experience raised serious concerns about her competence, transparency, and overall professionalism. 1) Failure to understand critical communication Tori failed to properly read and interpret a straightforward email from opposing counsel. Her misunderstanding directly cost me valuable time with my child. I personally reviewed the email and understood its intent clearly, yet she did not. More concerning, she did not follow up to clarify despite my raising concerns and thought the email said exactly what I thought. Mistakes happen—but dismissing the impact and minimizing the consequences is unacceptable. 2) Lack of transparency in billing practices: Tori recommended a “coaching service,” explaining that it was included in the fees I was already paying and that I would be charged regardless of whether I used it. While the coaching session itself was helpful, I later discovered that Tori billed additional time for following up with the coach about my session. This felt misleading and inconsistent with how the service was initially presented. 3) Failure to disclose lack of trial experience: I was not informed until months into representation that Tori had no trial experience. As my case progressed and the possibility of trial increased, she repeatedly discouraged it, emphasizing cost. Only after I asked directly did she admit she had never taken a case to trial and that another attorney would take over if needed. This is critical information that should be disclosed upfront so clients can make informed decisions. 4) Poor judgment and lack of confidence: Throughout the process, Tori did not demonstrate confidence or strong advocacy. At times, it felt as though she was making arguments that favored opposing counsel. For example, she suggested I rent a home closer to my child’s mother—even though I already own a home just 15 minutes away and was actively planning a move closer anyway. She knew that I was looking at buying a new home in the area but she still suggested I rent a place. This advice felt impractical and poorly thought out. 5) Firm response and outcome: I escalated my concerns to the firm’s Operations Manager. Despite this, the firm chose to continue supporting her, which ultimately led me to terminate the relationship. Final recommendation: Based on my experience, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for legal representation—particularly if considering working with Tori Gale. Clients deserve transparency, competence, and strong advocacy, none of which I consistently experienced here. UPDATE 3/24/26: This is Kwasi again, and I want to respond to the firm’s recent reply, which—if you notice—addresses only one of the multiple issues I raised. It’s extremely disappointing to see the firm, particularly its owner, misrepresent the situation and imply that I am misinformed. I have clear documentation, including emails and witnesses from meetings, that support everything outlined in my original review. Anyone genuinely interested in understanding what occurred is welcome to reach out. Notably, the response avoids acknowledging any responsibility. The reality is that a critical communication from opposing counsel was missed—something I, as the client, identified and raised directly with my attorney. The fact that multiple attorneys reviewed the matter and still failed to catch it or seek clarification raises even more serious concerns. This is exactly the kind of oversight clients should not have to worry about when trusting legal representation. Unfortunately, the firm’s response only reinforces my concerns about their professionalism, accountability, and overall quality of representation.

Wanted a simple quote range or hourly rate for a document review and representation. I wasn’t able to get one without a paid consultation, which they “discounted” to $99 for me. Why would I pay almost $100 to see if I can even afford your rates? I questioned this and they weren’t able to give me any answers on their rates. Do you not know what your hourly is? The call seemed very salesy and like they just wanted my info and money. I will say that the man I talked to was nice, but that was about the only good thing. Left the call with a bad taste in my mouth. Every other lawyer I have reached out to for this has been able to give me their hourly, a general estimate, and a free consultation, so this honestly seems like a money grab. They may be great lawyers, but I’ll never know. They decided it wasn’t a good fit, which is fine and I agree, but I felt I had to share this in case others are in a tighter financial spot and looking for a lawyer in their budget. They just seem to want clients that are willing to pay whatever. *In response to their reply, this was actually more helpful than the intake call. I was not given this dollar hourly range on the call and was told I had to do the paid consult to find out what anything would cost. If they had just said this hourly range, that would have been perfect and is well within what was expected for cost. Instead, they didn't tell me any numbers and said they couldn't tell me any numbers. For afterwards when they turned me down as a client (again, this is totally fine), I was not given any suggestions for other firms to try, as they mention. That would have been nice and I hope they do that for others, but that was not the case with me. I don't have an issue with a paid consult as part of the business model, but I do have an issue with it being used to even share if pricing is affordable or not for someone's budget. I suggest being upfront with the pricing range before the consult call so people are aware and can make the best decision for themselves. I appreciate your reply, thank you.

I can’t thank Atticus Family Law enough for everything they did for me during my divorce. My case was especially difficult because I was dealing with an uncooperative respondent, but the team at Atticus never wavered. They were always professional, prompt, and respectful, and I felt supported through every step of the process. A special thank you to Ms. Cain and Jessica Dooley both are outstanding professionals who were not only incredibly knowledgeable and honest, but also compassionate and attentive. They explained everything clearly, set realistic expectations, and guided me with integrity. Even in the most frustrating moments, I felt reassured knowing I had them on my side. If you’re going through a divorce especially one that feels overwhelming I highly recommend Atticus Family Law. They truly go above and beyond for their clients.
